Tall Women’s Clothes and Resource Guide

Pants - Content (Text Only) or View in Original Website

Pants are comfortable; after all, you do not have to be bothered with panty hose. Pants are also very sexy when they fit properly. It is said that when a man is looking at a woman in a great fitting pair of pants his eyes follows the lines of her crotch as he watches her approach, and then his eyes follows the lines of her buttocks as he watches her depart. We women love our pants whether we are wearing them for comfort, work, or attracting the opposite sex. Pants are a huge issue for tall women and tall girls. When one tall woman engages in a conversation with another tall woman she typically has three main items to address, where do you find your tall or extra-long pants, where do you find your large size shoes, and where do you find the tall men. Here, I limit the subject to pants…

Pants – Length and Fit Suggestions

Length

  • Buy men’s pants for length and have the tailor/seamstress create the great fit
  • Embracing the crop style pants, i.e. the capri, the knickers and the peddle pushers
  • And letting the hem or cuff out of a pair of pants to gain an inch or two
  • And of course, shop specialty stores, online stores and catalogs that cater to tall women and tall girls. To find retailers that specialize in women’s tall sized clothing. See question 1 – “Where do I Find Women’s Tall Sized Clothing” of the F A Qs pages of this site.

Fit

  • If the pants sag in the butt look for the smaller size
  • If pants create horizontal creases and indentations across the thigh area, try on the next size up
  • If the pants cut into the waist and part the stomach in half, try the next size up
  • If the pants sit low in the crotch area or cannot be pulled up to sit close to the crotch, try the next size up
  • Fit the largest body part first, and the other parts secondary.
